"Galihh, Bryaann wake up! we need to go to the school this morning. Maam Jonna wants to check our lesson plan and revise it before our teaching practice", well, it's me trying to make them awake. It was 7.00 AM. Yes most of my friends including them often working overnight for creating lesson plan, especially for elementary education. It's kind of natural for them preparing many things such as games from papers, flash cards, etc.
Shortly, we are in the teachers office. We met Maam Jonna and came inside the room.
"Where is your lesson plan? Have you done?", She asked.
"Yes we've done with it mam. This is mine." I answered. Also Galih and Bryan gave her theirs.
After that we all went to the canteen because we're really hungry. I ate chicken curry and rice with apple tea which only cost 47 pesos or around 14.500 rupiah. Anyway, we directly went to the office again after finishing our breakfast.
We came inside the office. I saw Mam Jonna gave our lesson plan to a women. I was thinking that the women was revising our lesson plan. Not long for waiting, I was called to approach them, Mam Jonna and the Women. I joined them and I was asked about my strategies, methods, learning activities, and task plans. At the time, I felt like I had a private consultation which was very helpful.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"Ari Ma'am." I replied.
"Okay Ari, I am gonna ask you first, what do you intend to do in the motivation stage?"
"I actually intend to make the students motivated by encouraging and getting them involved in learning activities like playing a little game in the beginning of the lesson for example."
"Yes that's right! but here (appointing my sub-points of objectives in doing the motivation stage), you mentioned other objectives that you actually have had in the learning objectives. So my suggestion is you don't have to write it here because you already have that. Is that alright?"
"That's Okay mam"
The fun moment was actually I asked a few questions and she accepted, and when I gave my opinion, she appreciated my thoughts.
Wondering about the women's name, I asked her after the consultation.
"I am sorry mam....?", my code indirectly asked her name.
"Tuesday, Maam Tuesday", she answered.
"Oh great! thank you very much for the feedback Mam Tuesday." I tried to close politely. Later on after that session finished, Mam Jonna told us that Mam Tuesday was her teacher who is really good in lesson planning and teaching practice.
