1.3 Teaching System
PSU – Integrated High School has applied a 5-days learning system in a week from Monday to Friday. In Humanities and Social Sciences classes, a course subject named Creative Non-Fiction has 16 hours within a week in which each class is supposed to have 4 hours. Instead, it is only 8 hours for ICT and HE classes in English for Academic and Professional Purposes. The learning activities technically start from 08.00 AM to 12.00 AM for the morning session and 01.00 PM to 02.00 PM with the break time until 04.00 PM which continues to 05.00 PM.
1.4 Materials and Other Learning sources
In PSU – Integrated High School, the teachers use the materials or tools that are suitable and linked to the Core Curriculum of K to 12. The teachers mostly use the books which are based on the Curriculum Guidance as their references. The other materials or tools that are used in the classroom are also in forms of pictures, videos either from YouTube or other Medias, worksheets, and power point presentations.
1.5 Measurement and Evaluation System
The measurement and evaluation system used in PSU – Integrated High School has a certain term within the implementation. The following pictures present the terms of measurement and the evaluation:
1.6 Curriculum
PSU – Integrated High School has applied the curriculum of K to 12 as the Basic Education. The curriculum for Senior High School is two years of specialized upper secondary education; students may choose a specialization based on aptitude, interests, and school capacity. The choice of career track will define the content of the subjects a student will take in Grades 11 and 12.
Each student in Senior High School can choose among three tracks: Academic; Technical-Vocational-Livelihood; and Sports and Arts. The Academic track includes three 5 strands: Business, Accountancy, Management (BAM); Humanities, Education, Social Sciences (HESS); and Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM).
