"Oh my GOD! I have to do this by myself!", I freaked out and I said that internally to increase my self-esteem. I was just trying to be relaxed, although I screamed inside lol.

"Where is Tri? I'm sitting here alone and I know no one to talk to", I said that in my head because I was so awkward to just sit and start a conversation haha.

I have to be honest, I was really shy because - maybe - I tried to adjust the situation and adapt how the way I behave since I don't really have that much exposure to Australian culture, like how they interact, make jokes, and so at the time.

When I started to have a seat, some students came closer and tried to talk with me. Some of them were Phoenix and his friends - I didn't ask their names -. They were very nice students and we had a good conversation.

Not long after they left, there were Maco, Ed and Adam starting to say hi. "Wow how kind they are to say hi first!", again I said it to myself.

Unpredictably, these students were very enjoyable to talk. With Maco, he often asked me for some topics which was making me more involved in their conversation. He talked about his concern about Humanism and Law, and other topics like for example his grandfather who was used to be the biggest dairy farmer in New Zealand. Also with Ed and Adam, we were telling our stories and jokes each other. At one point, they talked about Australian Slang and Footy.

"Anyway, I am just curious. How do you play Footy? Can you show me how?". Wondering about Footy, I asked them to teach me how to play Footy.

"Yeah! Let's go to the field!". Surprisingly, they spontaneously accepted it and invited me to go to the field.

I was literally shook but I joined them playing it. Ed taught me how to kick and telling me some rules. I started to kick the ball and they said that I was pretty good for a beginner. Maco once told me that Ed is joining Australian Football Team in the city that I didn’t really remember the name of the team. Adam also did good practicing with Ed. We were having fun together until the bell rang. This short practice made me warmer which was good for me facing the spring vibes.
